George Bush aide Dan Bartlett has turned in his resignation and will leave the administration in the summer, according to published reports.

The 36 year old Bartlett is said to have been a very close confidant who worked for Bush for most of his life. He began his Bush-adventure back in Bush's Texas days as a junior policy aide.

And of course Bartlett is saying he resigned because he wants to spend more time with his family. Yeah, sure. That's totally believable.  But enough sarcasm.

Bartlett is just another link in a chain of people that have been exiting the White House. Remember Harriet Miers? Scott McClellan? Andy Card??

The Chicago Tribune reports Bush as staying about Bartlett:

"His contribution has been immeasurable. I value his judgment and I treasure his friendship."

One has to onder if Bartlett is recovering from the hangover of drinking the Bush kool-aid for all of these years.

Now if only Roberto Gonzalez would follow suit! Geez.
