Privatization and the lack of regulation is the cause of the massive economic failures at the moment. But one of the most egregious acts of privatization is occurring with America's ability to count it's votes.

Late last month, disgraced Florida representative Tom Feeney released an ad where he apologized for his ties to corrupt lobbyists.  Feeney, however, is still mum on his connection to rig the vote count in Ohio during the 2004 presidential election.

Feeney has been described by some as highly questionable, and has been cited as one of the "most corrupt members of Congress" for his ties to fallen lobbyist Jack Abramoff, failing to disclose info on his financial disclosure, and improperly going on trips funded by lobbyists.

A more eye-opening connection would be Feeney's connection to whistle-blower Clint Curtis, a republican computer programmer working for a company Feeney sought out in order to create a program to flip votes for republicans to win races.

Curtis worked for Yang Enterprises when Feeney approached the firm to write source code for electronic voting machines in order to rig the vote count. But Feeney wanted to make sure the hijacking code was hidden so nobody could find it.

The documentary Murder, Spies & Voting Lies explores the connection between Feeney, Yang Enterprises and Clint Curtis -- who filed a sworn affidavit, testified under oath and passed a lie detector test.

In the doc, Curtis is interviewed about the story and the discrepancy between the exit polls around the country and the actual vote tally is discussed.
