There was chatter recently about the campaign allegedly struggling to meet financial goals and even speculation from conservatives of whether Obama should have stayed in the public financing system. Not so much, now. Along with setting a new all-time one-month record for fundraising, the Obama campaign has also gained half a million new donors to the campaign.
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe says, "The 500,000 new donors to the Obama campaign demonstrate just how strongly the American people are looking to kick the special interests out and change Washington."
As reported by other news agencies, Republicans were not the only ones to get a boost after the addition of Palin to the GOP ticket.
